This project provides intensive outpatient treatment to adult women with substance use disorders. Designed for women who do not need the intensity of day treatment but need more than once weekly counseling, it is operated three evenings a week. This program can meet the needs of women who are working during the day or attending school or job training.

Women Served

Comprehensive Outpatient Services for Women and Their Families serves women age 18 and older who are Wisconsin residents. Self-referrals are welcome. Free to women without insurance or coverage for this service. This program is funded by a grant from the Wisconsin Department of Health Services. Some insurance or self-pay accepted.

Background

This program was initially opened in 2000 as one of nine projects funded statewide by the Wisconsin Department of Health and Family Services as a Statewide Urban/Rural Women's Alcohol and Other Drug Abuse Treatment Program.

Licensure

The program is certified by the Wisconsin Department of Health Services as an outpatient program for substance use disorders and as a mental health outpatient clinic for treatment of co-occurring disorders.
